The Lucerne School of Music has its own internet webcasting channels that play jazz and classical music. It also produces podcasts of the School's concerts and recordings of the MusicTalks from the «Jazzkantine».
Acting on the initiative of Hämi Hämmerli and with active support from Urban Lienert and Otmar Kramis, the Lucerne School of Music launched its own internet radio station in summer 2003. The music is selected by random generation, which results in an engaging and varied output. Recordings of all workshop, students' and lecturers' concerts as well as of the MusicTalks from the Jazzkantine are made available as podcasts.
Up to 90 percent of the music played is Swiss jazz, in which the School's jazz lecturers are also involved. All concerts from workshops, students and lecturers are transmitted live from the «Jazzkantine».
This transmits round-the-clock recordings by the School's classical music lecturers.
The recordings of concerts from workshops, students and lecturers at the «Jazzkantine» can be downloaded as podcasts after the live broadcast.
The «MusicTalks» sessions featuring renowned music experts and recorded at the «Jazzkantine» are available as podcasts.
