The Crypto Valley Association (CVA) has announced a partnership with the Sovrin Foundation, an international non-profit organization that governs the world’s first public self-sovereign identity (SSI) network. This network helps businesses and private individuals to independently manage and store their personal identity data on their own devices (desktop, smartphone, tablet), and to provide this data efficiently to those who need to validate it.
The CVA will become the first Sovrin “steward” operating in Switzerland. A steward is a trusted organization who meets the security and privacy requirements defined by the Sovrin Foundation.
Two of the founding members of CVA – the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Luxoft – have joined together to make this possible, with the Lucerne UASA’s award-winning data center in Lucerne perfectly complemented by Luxoft’s position as an internationally active IT service provider.
