To ensure that students derive the maximum benefit from their exchange semesters, they need to have attended and passed the basic modules before considering going abroad. The student’s assessed assignments to date, his or her competences in the language of the intended country and/or program, and his or her motivation and flexibility are key factors in assessing an application for a semester abroad.
Students should choose courses at the exchange university that are as similar as possible to those being taken at the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology. Students should discuss their choice of course with the head of degree program at the appropriate time.
Exchanges are possible in the following semesters:
BSc in Information Technology
Ideally the second last semester
(Exceptions, such as the last semester, must be approved by the head of degree program)
BSc in Business Information Technology
Full-time: fourth to sixth semester
Work-study: fifth to eighth semester
BSc Digital Ideation
Fourth semester (third and fifth semester to be discussed with the head of degree program)
BSc Cyber Security/MSc in Business Information Technology/MSc in Engineering
To be discussed with the head of degree program
