Which continuing and executive education programs does the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology offer?

The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology offers continuing and executive education in Data & AI, Digital Business & Innovation, Digital Transformation, Network Solutions, Securicy & Privacy and Technologies & Methods. Courses include SAS-, CAS-, DAS- and MAS-programs, as well as short programs.

Who benefits from continuing education in computer science and digitalization? 

The programs are for specialists and managers working in the who and wish to deepen their skills and knowledge in IT and digitalization or specialize in an area of interest. In some courses, prior learning in IT is a requirement.

What are the admission requirements for our programs?

A tertiary-level diploma (ETH/university, university of applied sciences, professional education institution PEI and similar) or Advanced Federal PET Diploma plus at least two years of relevant professional experience (after the diploma). Admission requirements are provided for all programs. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the relevant head of program.

Can I attend a continuing education program at the HSLU without prior learning in IT?

Yes. Many programs are also for specialists and managers wishing to build new skills and knowledge in IT or deepen their digitalization skills. Refer to the dedicated program website or information event to learn whether you will need specific foundational IT skills.

What are the costs for continuing education at the HSLU School of Computer Science and Information Technology? 

The costs depend on the type and scope of the program. You can find detailed information about costs on the relevant program website.

How long is a continuing education program?

Typically, a SAS takes a few days, a CAS several months, a DAS about one year, and a MAS two to three years (work-study) to complete.

Can I attend a continuing education program while working? 

Yes. Most programs are easy to balance with concurrent professional activity (e.g., with course days set mostly on Fridays and Saturdays).

What are the benefits of continuing education at the HSLU School of Computer Science and Information Technology?

The HSLU was the first university of applied sciences in Switzerland to establish its own dedicated School of Computer Science and Information Technology. Classes take place on the cutting-edge Rotkreuz Campus by the railway station. You will benefit from practice-oriented curricula, experienced lecturers from business and research, and a strong network across the IT industry.
