The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology offers a range of BSc and MSc programs and many attractive continuing and executive education courses in the key IT disciplines. Numerous partners benefit from the project skills and experience of the HSLU’s researchers and from its excellent academic and professional networks.

Our Profile
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has six Schools and is the first Swiss university of applied sciences to have its own School of Computer Science and Information Technology. The University is located in Central Switzerland. The School of Computer Science and Information Technology was founded in 2016 as a spin-off of two other existing schools of the university. The School offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, applied research and development, and continuing education programs in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, IoT, Cyber Security, Immersive Realities and Business Information Technology. Today, the School has about 60 Partner University abroad. One bachelor's program and two master's programs are entirely taught in English.

The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology offers bachelor’s degree programs in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Digital Ideation, Computer Science, Immersive Technologies, Information and Cyber Security, International IT Management and Business Information Technology. In the master’s degree program, students further develop their knowledge in the fields of Computer Science or Business Information Technology. The School of Computer Science and Information Technology is also a cooperation partner for the master’s degree program in Specialized Media and IT Teaching and Learning Methods.

Continuing education

The continuing education program in Information Technology at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is aimed at IT specialists who wish to expand, refresh and further develop their knowledge in the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, Virtual & Augmented Reality, Metaverse, Cloud and Platform Technology, Software Architecture, Engineering & Development, Information & Cyber Security or Internet of Things. The program is based on applied research and field experience and can be taken online, in day and week-long courses, or over a semester.

Combined applications of AI and collaborative robotics in seamless human-robot interactions, precise inspections and efficient logistics solutions are our focus. For a long time, AI and robotics research has been working on machines that perform tasks with human-like competence. Our approach already enables robots to plan, internally imitate and simulate their perception and action processes using realistic images and physical simulations in digital twins and to build virtual knowledge databases. In this way, the possibilities of artificial intelligence become usable.
