Immersive Realities Center Showroom, projects, education and knowledge transfer between university, SMEs and schools

The Center’s mission is to enable interested SMEs and schools in the region to explore AR and VR technologies in a way that benefits them. It creates opportunities to get to know new technologies, to realize projects and prototypes, to engage in a knowledge transfer with experts and to benefit from consulting services. 

Range of services: The Immersive Realities Center offers the following services

• Showroom and Interaction Space: Visitors have a wide range of AR and VR infrastructure and tools at their disposal to familiarize themselves with AR and VR through personal experience. Exploring real-life examples from the industry and services sectors, they directly experience and learn how multi-faceted this field is today.
  The Showroom and Interaction Space allows for the testing of representative consumer and B2B hardware - without the purchase costs.
  What is more, the Showroom and Interaction Space acts as a place of encounter and networking hub for people with an interest in AR and VR in Central Switzerland.

• Projects and Consulting: SMEs have the opportunity to jointly realize their projects with employees of the Lucerne UASA and to use the infrastructure of the Immersive Realities Center. The Center staff is committed to supporting companies from a product’s inception to its release. This also ensures a continuous knowledge transfer. 

• Education, Continuing and Executive Education: The Center offers public, semi-public and in-house training in the field of AR and VR. There is also an ongoing collaboration with vocational colleges in Central Switzerland, giving students and apprentices from state schools, baccalaureate schools and vocational colleges access to AR and VR technologies. 

• Networking: The Showroom and Interaction Space serves as a place of encounter and networking hub for people with an interest in AR and VR. It enables its users to exploit synergies and to study real-life examples from Swiss companies. In turn, companies that have successfully implemented AR and VR projects are given a platform to present them to a wider audience. The Center also hosts information events, exhibitions and demonstrations by SMEs for SMEs.
