The relevant scientific disciplines and industrial technologies, as well as energy and the environment, are the areas of focus at the Competence Center Integral, Intelligent and Efficient Energy Systems. Master’s students are enabled to do practical project work involving analysis, development and scientific innovation, and optimization of systems, products and industrial processes. Furthermore, students also develop intelligent applications in the field of energy efficiency.
The research topics at master’s level are as follows:
- Energy storages and drives: integration of batteries and supercaps with management systems as well as the engine design in the entire drive train
- Grid-Living and Mobility”: decentralized energy supply and buffering in the system of buildings and e-mobility (V2G)
- Efficient lighting
Students are not only supported by their own mentor but also benefit from state-of-the-art technologies and tools.
