The AAL Forum 2018 aims at bringing together the local actors, such as municipalities, provinces, regions and health and social care providers to meet and engage with the SMEs and the industry that are currently creating the digital technology that will be used tomorrow. At the AAL Forum the international congress participants will be able to find out more about the latest AAL products and services from the many exhibitors, 24 workshops and various keynote speakers.
Project «Living Well» presents a workshop at the AAL Forum
Seven members of the «Living well with Anne» AAL-consortium will moderate the workshop. The goal is to enlarge the awareness of other companies and organizations in how to get the (elderly) end users of your IoT solution to really embrace your solution for themselves. To answer to that question the project team has developed a straight forward but effective method called «Embrace!». It is not about the ICT technology under development, it is about relationship management, especially listening closely to end users and their carers – both informal and professional.
In the workshop the team will share its experiences – both successes and failures. Their experience has led to an approach towards end-users that they have included into the «Embrace»-toolbox, based on seven keys to success, valid both during and after a project.
In the workshop the attendees will be guided through the seven steps and then invited to apply the steps to their own solution. The end-user organisation members will act as the elderly they represent and will give the attendees direct feedback what they need to ensure that end users embrace their product.
The workshop takes place on 26 September 2018 from 14:00 to 15:30 (Session W18).
