Most of today’s new and renovated buildings are supposed to be energy efficient and sustainable. However, mistakes that make the attainment of these goals impossible often occur as early as the planning stage and at the latest during execution. To reduce the error rate in planning and construction, we offer various services and undertake research and development projects.
What we offer
As the certification center for Central Switzerland, the group is commissioned by Minergie® to conduct certifications to the building standards Minergie®, Minergie-P®, Minergie-A® and Minergie-ECO®. Consequently, it can draw on experience from more than 3,000 certifications (especially to Minergie-P®).
During years of collaboration with various working groups and commissions for guidelines and standards (SWKI, SIA, CEN, EU, etc.), the group has built up a vast knowledge of standards and regulations (structural engineering, energy, construction physics, comfort, building technology). This knowledge is practically applied in particular for drawing up new sets of regulations and for conducting impartial expert reports, surveys and studies. Corresponding field or laboratory measurements are often also carried out in the process (energy/services, acoustics, comfort, etc.), especially airtightness measurements and thermographic photos.
The knowledge and experience from the work on standards and from expert reports are conveyed in the scope of our continuing education events. Focal points are: Minergie, protection against summer heat and building technology standards of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA). The ZIG also conducts its own courses (e.g. pressure loss calculations, total energy calculations, etc.).
