Biography
Dr. Francesca Paoletti joined Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in November 2022 as a project coordinator for energy research. She is committed to the development of a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach in the implementation of leading-edge research projects on the path towards net-zero carbon emissions.
Francesca graduated in Environmental Engineering at University “La Sapienza” in Rome and then completed her PhD in Energy Technologies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and at University of Stuttgart. After working as an innovation consultant for small and medium enterprises at the Fraunhofer Technology Development Group in Stuttgart, in 2003 she moved to Berne, where she joined BKW Energie AG as Country Manager Italy in the International Sales and Trading Department.
From 2007 until 2022, she has been working as a management consultant and project manager for energy utilities, public institutions and non-profit organizations in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. The main focus of her project activities is on the development of innovative technologies for decarbonized and decentralized energy use, using a multi-stakeholder approach that ensures inclusiveness and collaboration.
