Our two Master’s programs combine practical content and applied research in engineering and construction as well as architecture, creating a pathway to senior positions in the field.
During the Master’s programs in Engineering and Architecture, our students expand their methodological skills while consolidating their specialist skills at a high level. The degree opens new professional perspectives in senior positions. The Master’s programs are available both full-time and part-time, allowing for students to tailor them to their personal needs.
In the Master in Engineering program, students consolidate their skills in engineering, information technology and natural sciences at a high level. It offers specializations in eleven profiles with applied research projects led by the School’s Competence Centers.

The Master in Architecture program conveys an advanced understanding of architecture between technology and situational context. The program promotes architectural design that focuses on the four topic areas of structure, energy, material and realization.
According to the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture’s guiding principle of the “Building as a System” the building and its five types of structure are at the center of the “Architecture and Structure” specialization.
Decreasing resources and the ongoing climate change continually create new challenges for architecture, urban design and spatial planning. Within this system, energy plays a key role at various levels.
The resource-friendly use of materials is at the core of this specialization.
After all, materials are architecture’s hardware. They determine the joining process and influence how buildings and their elements are perceived.
