Thanks to the modular study concept, you can actively shape your studies and, if necessary, change your study model – even between semesters.
Full-Time: Study in a classic and focused way
The full-time model usually lasts 3 years and combines classroom teaching, project modules, practical phases, and in-depth content.
- Clear semester structure with modules evenly distributed throughout the week
- Intensive supervision by lecturers
- Optimal preparation for project and industry work
- Academic specialization
Part-Time: Flexible study alongside work or other commitments
In the part-time model, you distribute the modules and workload individually over a longer study period – usually four years. This allows for an optimal balance between studies, work, and private life. The model study plan is scheduled from Thursday to Saturday.
- Adjusted semester workload
- Same qualification as in the full-time program
- Ideal for working professionals and students with additional responsibilities
Work-Study: Study with Practical Relevance and Professional Experience
The work-study model combines your studies with employment at your employer. This allows you to directly transfer theoretical knowledge into practice and address professional challenges through your studies. The model study plan is scheduled from Thursday to Saturday.
- Practice-oriented project work
- Recognition of professional projects within your studies
- Strong transfer into the working environment
- Targeted professional development within companies
PiBS – Practice-Integrated Bachelor’s Program
60% studies and 40% employment
In the PiBS model for academic high school graduates, you complete a practice-integrated program that combines studies with employment at an industry partner (degree completed in 4 years). This allows you to gain valuable practical experience during your studies and build professional networks early on for an optimal career start.
- Start studying at a university of applied sciences directly after your academic high school diploma and save a one-year pre-study internship
- Gain professional experience
- Have projects from your professional work credited toward your studies
- High chance of direct career entry
Switching Between Models
Flexibility throughout your studies
A unique feature of the program is that you can change your study model at the end of a semester – for example, from full-time to part-time or vice versa.
How to choose your model?
All models lead to the same Bachelor’s degree. Which model suits you best depends on your individual situation:
- Direct entry after a vocational baccalaureate: full-time, part-time, or work-study
- Working professionals or students with family responsibilities: work-study or part-time
- Academic high school diploma with prior professional internship: full-time / part-time
