Research Projects in Engineering and Architecture Team up to strenghten the innovative power of your institution

We are your central point of contact for general questions about our research and development as well as our services. We offer an initial overview of the varied types of research co-operation, including their scope, funding and regulations on intellectual property. You may also directly get in touch with the heads of the competence centers and the associated laboratories.

Possibilities for collaboration

Commissioned research and development

If you have a specific research and development question and a budget, you may directly commission the project with us. If you are fully funding a project yourself, you decide on the level of confidentiality and the rights to the results.

Science-based innovation projects

If you wish to advance your innovative power with us for the duration of two to three years and with your business plan at the center of the activities, we will be happy to help you scan the listings of Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, for suitable projects.

IB National Innovation Boosters

If you wish to transition to more renewable energies to reduce your CO2 emissions, we can facilitate advice and seed funding through Energy Lab on short notice. It is one of the twelve national IBs, with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts as the leading house.

International scientific excellence

If you wish to contribute to applied foundational research over the space of four or more years, please refer to the Swiss National Science Foundation  SNSF and its BRIDGE joint program for science and business promotion.

If you require specific specialist advice, expert opinions or field studies, you can benefit from our specialized technical tests, our in-house experts and leading-edge technical infrastructure.

IC Interdisciplinary Clusters

With its  “Spatial Development and Social Cohesion” and “Digital Transformation of the Working World”  ICs,, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts harnesses its internal synergies. You are welcome to participate or to set up additional advanced research projects.

Participation in energy network research

If you wish to advance the energy transition as a part of a consortium of actors from science, industry and society for the next six to eight years, we will be happy to facilitate your participation. We are currently represented in three of the four SWEET consortia.

Patents and licensing

If you wish to evaluate what kinds of patents we and other parties hold and how you might benefit from them before conducting your own research, we can provide information about licensing and research programs and establish contact with the relevant authorities and patent holders for you.
