Thermal separation and environmental processes describe a wide area in process engineering, for example, purification of exhaust gases, treatment of waste water and the material recovery and exploitation of byproducts and waste products.
The RG TEVT develops and optimizes separation and environmental processes to increase the energy efficiency, reduce pollutant emissions and minimize the demand for environmentally harmful chemicals.
One project is currently developing a new process for combined biogas processing and liquefaction. Utilizing CO2 as high-quality dry ice allows the process of liquefaction of biomethane to overcome the natural gas grid restictions of conventional gas processing plants.
