In 2019, 1,873 individuals attended its ten bachelor's and two master's degree programs. More than half of these students attended the bachelor's programs in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering and Business Engineering Innovation.
The School's continuing education activities also met with success in 2019. A total of 962 professionals successfully completed continuing education courses. In terms of applies research and development, the School completed in excess of 195 projects involving national and international partners from industry and business and other research institutions. The competence centers carry out research into the meta-themes "Building as a System" and "Intelligent Energy Solutions".
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts supports the Swiss Confederation's long-term energy policy (Energy Strategy 2050) through its membership of six of the Swiss Competence Centers for Energy Research (SCCER), thereby contributing actively to the national "Coordinated Energy Research Switzerland" action plan.
