Noise and visual distractions in large open-plan offices make it hard to stay concentrated. Regaining ones working equilibrium requires considerable effort and time. This can trigger stress and in the case of constant exposure lead to mental overload. And all of this in a setting where people spend a large part of their lives. In order to counteract this mental overload, a mobile focus zone was developed that can be worn on the body. Using cast-off sound-absorbing material, the focus zone concentrates sight and hearing onto what is essential.
The project orientates itself on SDG 3, “Health and Well-Being”.
