It is possible for exchange students to take courses from different semesters and fields of study if scheduling allows this. We will help you navigate your way to a successful Learning Agreement.
Need a further argument as to why Lucerne is the place to do your exchange semester? An increasing number of our incoming exchange students originally applied for a one-semester exchange and then like it so much that they end up staying for two. The Lucerne School of Business is situated in the heart of Central Switzerland and is an ideal starting point to discover Lucerne, Switzerland and Europe. The Exchange Programme Team at the School of Business would be pleased to give you personalized suggestions for activities when you arrive. Our Facebook Group for incoming exchange students and their buddies is also an excellent way of getting to know about activities hosted by the Student Association and current special events going on in the Lucerne area.
Further, as a part of the taught-in-English bachelor’s Online Marketing in Tourism and Mobility module, local students worked together with exchange students on a real case that led to the creation of the Lucerne Life website.
The Lucerne School of Business buddy programme gives exchange students the opportunity to get in contact with local students prior to their arrival. A local student buddy can provide useful information about student life at our University and life in Switzerland. Furthermore, both exchange students and buddies benefit from the cultural exchange. The local students volunteer to help incoming exchange students become familiar with student life at the Lucerne School of Business and are a valuable resource for questions about living in Lucerne. Many of the local students are also interested in doing an exchange abroad in the future. All are interested in getting to know someone from another culture. Many exchange students and local students have formed long-lasting friendships.
How to apply?
Exchange students from our partner institutions apply for an exchange place at their home university and need to be nominated to the Lucerne School of Business. As soon as the nomination has been accepted, the students receive a link to the online application form.
