The concept of sustainability is becoming increasingly important in the tourism industry. On the one hand there is a growing demand for environmentally compatible, socially just and economically viable tourism, while on the other hand the requirements for more sustainable services are becoming increasingly rigorous.
The ITW has particular strengths in the area of sustainability management, sustainability marketing and the compilation of sustainability studies. In addition, the ITW has specific expertise regarding nature reserves and tourism relating to nature and culture – where sustainable development is an absolute must.
Methodological expertise is available including sustainability management in general and sustainability marketing and certification in particular, plus market research in the development of new tools and land use planning.
The ITW sees itself as a partner who is able to offer the know-how and methodological skills required to perform solid groundwork in the analytical and conceptual preparation and realisation of tourism projects.
