Within the scope of the conception of the new majors in Accounting, Corporate Finance and Performance Management, the Head of the programme decided to strive for accreditations by several high-quality international accounting organisations. Due to the specialised curriculum, the study programme got accredited by the associations ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). The students of the Master of Science in International Financial Management (entirely taught in English) have the opportunity to complete the professional certifications of these organisations through an accelerated route.
The endorsement of the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) clearly illustrates that the Master of Science in International Financial Management students acquire a deep knowledge in accounting, controlling and financial management, whereby the international focus is considerably great and new career opportunities arise. The programme is in line with the requirements of the internationally well-accepted and practice-oriented CMA® qualification. Lucerne School of Business is the third European Business School to achieve this and the first in Switzerland.
The focus on several international accounting certifications is unique in Europe. Our students get well prepared for the increasing demand for international comparable degrees and benefit from additional discounts in the context of these cooperations.
