Christoph Schindler, born in 1973 in Erlangen, studied architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern and received his doctorate from ETH Zurich. After experiences in architecture (MGF architects Stuttgart, Marble Fairbanks New York, MVRDV Rotterdam) and co-founding Design-to-Production GmbH, he focused on the scale of product design. Since 2005 he has been a partner at schindlersalmerón in Zurich, responsible for product development with a focus on contract furniture and individual pieces.
Christoph Schindler gained teaching experience through a CAS University Didactics at the Zurich University of Teacher Education PHZH and numerous workshops, several times at ETH Zurich, NTNU Trondheim, Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Design and KADK in Copenhagen. From 2010 to 2014 he lectured design at the Department of Architecture of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW. Since 2014 he has headed the Object Design Programme at the Lucerne School of Art and Design.
