Biography
Martin Wiedmer is a trained architect (Dipl. Architekt HTL) and works since 2012 as vice dean at the Lucerne School of Art and Design.
He is in charge of the four research groups, the bachelor’s specialisations in object design, textile design, jewellery design, design mangagement international and the master’s degree programs in design and film.
Prior to this assignment, from 2001 he built up the research at the Academy of Art and Design of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. Between 2005 and 2012 he headed the Institute of Art and Design Research.
During this time he carried out multiple research and service projects in art and design, especially in the fields of interaction and design thinking.
Martin Wiedmer is active in various research commissions, juries and (conference) committees.
