Students begin by investigating the basics of creative practice. In the workshops, labs and studios at the Lucerne School of Art and Design they study various methods of forming classical and modern sculptural materials, and examine perceptions and treatments of lines, planes and volumes (3D objects) in space. In the drawing and painting classes, they explore a broad range of tools and techniques. From the very start, continuous work with a sketchbook and logbook is vital.
