LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Students will know the most important aspects of the human figure and be able to represent them using pictorial means. Knowledge is acquired through observational study as well as the study of anatomy on the skeletal model and perception on the student's own body. The students know the most important effective forces on the human body. With their own developed visual language, they make these visible and tangible. The interaction of self-perception, observation and knowledge of anatomy promotes mindfulness towards oneself and others..
CONTENT
From the foot to the crown, the human body is observed, experienced and analyzed in its partial aspects, but also as a whole. What forces act on the feet and how does mobility come about with simultaneous stability in the pelvis? How can I represent that the figure is actually sitting on the chair and where does the impulse start when getting up from the chair? Such and more questions we will deal with in the course and approach them by drawing and painting. There is no one right way of doing this, but trial and error and experimentation are called for. An own repertoire of forms and methods is to be built up and/or extended. Various partial aspects will be examined more closely in the group as needed.
In a second part, the transformation into the image is more in the foreground and the figure is placed in an expanded context. The own repertoire will be expanded and compared with current positions from illustration, art and animation. This will open up new perspectives and deepen the students' own. The transfer into own projects will be addressed.

RECORD
The students learned the most important aspects of the human figure and can represent them with pictorial means. The knowledge was acquired through observational study as well as the study of anatomy on the skeleton model and perception on their own body. The students know the most important effective forces on the human body. They worked out their own visual language in order to make these visible and tangible as well as to represent the figure in an extended context. Their own repertoire was compared with examples from illustration, art and animation.
