This collection is aimed at women suffering from breast cancer. From one day to the next women can be confronted with the loss of an identity-defining part, triggering profound questions about their own infirmity and femininity.
As Megan Kelso explains, aesthetically attractive over and undergarments reinforce body positivity. As a trained dressmaker, she understands the female body, and as a jewellery maker, the power of bodily-worn objects. Here she has created a set of designs that are suitable for everyday and extravagant wearing, celebrating her collection as the recognition of a creative and self-assured approach towards ones own body image.
