Personal affinities find their owners in the items of the everyday household – in furnishings, cutlery and souvenirs. The individual feeling for form and materials is condensed in them, but the immaterial value of what have become familiar rituals also visibly manifests itself in them. This is where I chose to situate my design stimulus.
In the jewellery series THINGS & ME I examine aesthetic constellations and preferences, and search for content in intermediate spaces and surfaces. As a trained architect, I survey the space between person and object with my own methods and tools. This generates personal works that explore the relationships with our materials.
