Longing (in Greek λαχτάρα) can be a wonderful, an inspiring feeling. If the desire works itself up to an extreme, however, then longing becomes unbearable, ponderous, a bittersweet burden. My project deals with this emotional ambivalence. Material, weight, form, wearability and smells play a central role in these works, conceived as chains. Feelings become tactilely experienceable, perceptible, graspable, which enables me to consciously celebrate this range of emotions.
