Object Design  Projects from the Study Programme

In the first half of the programme, from the 1st to the 3rd semester, students learn the technical and artistic foundations of designing products. In the second half of the programme, from the 4th to the 6th semester, the acquired knowledge is practiced and deepened in market-orientated projects of increasing complexity and networking.

1st Semester: Material Routes

In the 1st Semester students learn to think with their hands by exploring various materials and its properties .

2nd Semester: Design Positions

Brief design projects with guest lecturers from a variety of backgrounds illustrate the broad spectrum in contemporary design.

3rd Semester: Digital Fabrication

Experimentation with digital design and digital processes is the core feature of the 3rd semester.

4th Semester: Authorship and Services

In partnership with a company, students develop their own stance on authorship and service provision.

5th Semester: Collective Design and Perspectives

The focus in the 5th semester is to think and work in synergy with related disciplines.

6th Semester: Bachelor Thesis

The Bachelor Thesis completed in the 6th semester attests to the students’ aptitude for a professional career.
