For a week, we go to the places where the movements originated, trying to understand their relevance for the time of their creation and to find out, if and how contemporary designers have a relationship to the design history of the respective places. The study trips are conceived as interdisciplinary vessels together with textile design and XS jewellery. Accordingly, the program is compiled across genres and programmes. In the context of the field trip we are often allowed to look deeper behind the scenes than it would be possible on private trips. The exchange between students and lecturers takes place during the day in museums, workshops and studios and continues at dinner, in the theater and in the bar. We organize the trips by train, preferably by night train, but leave the choice of transport to the participants.
