Bachelor of Arts in Product and Industrial Design with concentration in Textile Design
Our graduates are in-demand pros in analysing design briefings of clients and developing textiles that impress on an aesthetic, haptic and functional level and meet current needs. Many fields of work are open to them. They work in creative departments in the textiles industry, procure textiles for commercial companies and fashion houses or work on costumes for theatres and operas. They establish their own label, go independent as a stylist or establish themselves as freelance designers in this international industry. They consult interior architects and product designers, work for fashion magazines or work in research teams on developing innovative textiles. The Bachelor’s in Textile Design also qualifies graduates for the Master of Arts in Design. The Textiles specialisation enables students to broaden specific individual skills, realise their artistic visions and pursue their research interests.
Visit Admission procedure and requirements in the student information section for details of the admission requirements.
The admission procedure consists of two parts. Assuming that the application has been submitted on time, the applicant is then required to submit a portfolio of his or her work and complete an art-related task. This will determine whether he or she is invited for an interview.
See the Information sheet on the admission procedure for details.
