The Camera Arts specialisation sees itself as a laboratory that critiques and reflects on such changes, actively leveraging the resulting potential and investigating innovative, intelligent strategies in the realm of photographic and visual practice. We are interested in the context in which photography and other image-generating procedures emerge and are used, in the motives that guide the production of images, and in the dialogue between producer, image and recipient. We explore the role of photography in public space both real and virtual. We couple it with social issues, establish relationships and tell stories. We investigate its use in analogue and digital media in connection with other means of artistic expression, including graphics, audio, film, space and interactivity.
