The Lucerne School of Art and Design is the oldest college of art and design in German-speaking Switzerland. Backed by almost 140 years of tradition, it moves forward into the future with confidence. It offers a vivid and challenging environment that inspires research and teaching – one in which the students can hone their practical skills and acquire a qualified portfolio that will prepare them for a successful career entry into the cultural and creative sector.

We offer eleven unique bachelor's degree programmes in the fields of Art Education, Visual Communication, Film and Product Design.
The one-and-a-half to two-year master's degrees in Design , Film or Fine Arts further and broaden students' professional expertise.
The one-year Foundation Course provides an excellent basis for further degree studies in art and design.
Room for practical skills, experimentation and imagination.
We conduct research in the following areas: Product and Textile, Design and Management, Visual Narration, and Art and Design in the Public Sphere.
In summer 2016 half of the Lucerne School of Art and Design moved to "Viscosi City", the new campus in Emmen; the other half will follow in 2019.
