The Lucerne School of Art and Design is the oldest college of art and design in German-speaking Switzerland. Backed by almost 140 years of tradition, it moves forward into the future with confidence. Im Sommer 2016 zog die Hälfte der Hochschule Luzern – Design & Kunst in die Viscosistadt nach Emmen um.
We offer ten unique bachelor's degree programmes in the fields of Art Education, Visual Communication, Film and Product Design.
The one-and-a-half to two-year master's degrees in Design or Fine Arts further and broaden students' professional expertise.
The one-year art foundation course in Design provides an excellent basis for further degree studies in art and design.
We offer work-study-based programmes and a variety of evening and day courses.
We conduct research in the following areas: Product and Textile, Design and Management, Visual Narration, and Art and Design in the Public Sphere.
