Bachelor Illustration Fiction & Non fiction

Switzerland’s only degree in Illustration where applicants have the possibility to apply for one of two specialisations: FICTION or NON FICTION. For FICTION, the focus is on authorship and visual language, while NON FICTION deals with the creation and sharing of knowledge.

ILLUSTRATION FICTION

Most of us are accustomed to illustrations in picture books, newspapers, advertising, comics, posters and games - less well known is how illustration helps to connect people in the fields of language and culture, in the dialogue between science and society, enabling new perspectives and ideas to develop.

Illustration Nonfiction

ILLUSTRATION NONFICTION

focuses on imparting knowledge and information accurately and attractively through pictures. The students refine their manual and technical skills, address conventions of representation and explore traditional and novel ways of didactic visualisation and scientific illustration.
