The application of project management methodology is a critical success factor for projects. In this workshop, the researchers will learn why and how a specific methodology can be applied in research projects. Participants learn how to initiate, structure, plan and track a research project, how to manage risks and stakeholders and how to define roles and responsibilities among the team members. They learn how to manage communication and how to deal with setbacks and problems. The course will also discuss the benefits and integration of agile project management elements into their project management approach.
The course will be geared towards the participants’ current project practice and case studies. They will discuss typical challenges in research projects and possible solutions. Classic classroom instruction and active team sessions will alternate.
