The «Swiss Symposium Thermal Energy Storage» is aimed at everyone who sees the potential in thermal energy storage systems or would like to gain an in-depth insight into the technological possibilities associated with it. The symposium considers thermal energy storage systems against a wide background of applications and thus enables new solutions to be discussed. The goal of the SSTES is to create a lively dialog between representatives from industry and research in the energy, industry and building technology sectors in order to jointly promote the advancement of thermal energy storage in Switzerland and Europe. The «Swiss Symposium Thermal Energy Storage» is organized by the «Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research (SCCER) Storage of Electricity and Heat».
2020 marks the end of an important period of Swiss energy research, which was driven by the ‘Swiss Competence Centers on Energy Research (SCCER)’ funding and networks. The event focused on the developments regarding Thermal Energy Storage during this period and gave room for both reflection and envisioning ways towards a sustainable energy future.
