Biografie
After completing his high school education, Diponker Karmoker pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), graduating in 2021. He then continued his studies in Environmental Engineering, completing a postgraduate degree at IIT Roorkee, India, with exchange semesters at ESTP Paris and HSLU, Switzerland. Since 2025, he has been pursuing a PhD in Chemistry and Molecular Science at the University of Zurich(UZH), focusing on carbon capture and environmental sustainability.
From 2022 to 2023, Mr. Karmoker worked on research projects related to CO2 sequestration and direct air capture, collaborating with leading institutions such as IIT Roorkee and HSLU. He has contributed to international conferences, including the 14th International Conference on Industrial Computed Tomography and the American Chemical Society DAC. His research integrates advanced imaging techniques, computational modeling, and material characterization to optimize carbon capture technologies and thermal & heat storage.
In addition to his academic career, Mr. Karmoker has professional experience as a Field Engineer at JAKS International Limited, where he managed construction projects and quality control. He has received several prestigious scholarships, including full funding for his postgraduate studies and ESTP Paris exchange scholarship.
Since 2024, Mr. Karmoker has been actively involved in interdisciplinary research on thermal and environmental engineering, working with Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for CO2 capture, R&D for heat & mass transfer system. His expertise spans digital image processing, material classification. He is continuing to contribute to innovative solutions in the field of sustainable energy and environmental engineering.
