From early sketches and photographs done on a field trip to the romantic country side to the digital transformation of the landscape scenery presented in a mixed reality exhibition – participants will leave the course with a proficient set of techniques, tools and methods easy and valuable to take home. Fostering the communication between students from different disciplines and pushing a dynamic design process, advancing through learning, making, exploring and reflecting together are the goals of this summer school.
Social Programme & Activities
To keep the minds fresh and to maximise interaction, a wide variety of interesting social activities will be organised during evenings and weekends so participants can make the most of their stay in Lucerne.This includes visits to artists studios and ateliers as well as week-end exploration trips to the beautiful landscape of Lucerne with its mezmerizing lake and mountains scenery.

Language
This Summer School will be fully held in English Language. Chinese translation will be provided through translators from the partnering University.
Visa
It is the student’s responsibility to be issued the correct type of Visa (short-term study visa) in advance at the Swiss Embassy or Consulate Office. Obtaining a Visa may be time-consuming and therefore we encourage students to start preparing for it as early as possible.
Insurance
International students are obliged to have an appropriate health insurance while visiting the Summer School in Lucerne, Switzerland. Students are required to submit proof of insurance for the period of their stay in Switzerland. Those who cannot submit proof of insurance are required to purchase an insurance through a designated agency. Lucerne School of Art and Design will recommend an agency if requested. We strongly recommend to purchase an appropriate liability insurance as well.
