2012, May 23CC IIMSN gives at the 2012 ESA Workshop on Aerospace EMC congrexprojects.com/12a05/introduction (21. - 23. May in Venice / Italy) together with the partner National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR) / Netherlands a presentation about Achieving EMC Emissions Compliance for an Aeronautics Powerline Communications System.

AIONAV Systems AG www.aionav.com/cms/index.php and CC IIMSN decide a close cooperation in the area of the highly innovative AIONAV system (autonomous navigation), based on the combination of inertial measurement technology and computer vision, e.g. for a new navigation system for visually impaired persons.
CC IIMSN starts a product innovation project ‘Smart Broadband Powerline TOpology Protocol SBPL-TOP‘ with Current Technologies International, co-financed by Swiss KTI. The goal of the project is an innovative powerline communication based solution for the communication on the medium voltage between network nodes in transformer stations for future Smart Grid Communicaion.

Presentation at the TAUPE Final Dissemination Event in Paris. The consortium of the EC project TAUPE (Transmission in Aircraft on Unique Path wirEs) presented the results of the project to more than 60 interested representatives from industry, academia and the European Commission. Presentation at the 30th Digital Aviation Systems Conference in Seattle / USA ( dasconline.org/). S. Dominiak gave a presentation about ‘A Bifilar Approach to Power and Data Transmission over Common Wires in Aircraft’.

Zahn gave together with our partners from the Technical University Graz a presentation about ‘Improvement of Inertial Sensor Based Indoor Navigation by Video Content Analysis’.

CC IIMSN started an EUREKA innovation project Smart Person Counter, co-funded by the Swiss KTI, together with our industrial partners Syslogic AG, Dättwil / Switzerland and AVItronic, Dresden / Germany. The objective in this project is a cost efficient person counting system which is based on our Video Content Analysis technology.
