Post-Diploma Courses CAS/DAS
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) and Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) of the Lucerne School of Music are open to musicians who have already completed their professional education and who wish to improve and perfect their knowledge and skills with a thorough course of advanced study at the level of a university of applied sciences. Our courses, which focus on practical musical performance, comply with the standards prescribed by the Federal Government and provide a high-quality modern programme for adults to acquire further professional training while simultaneously pursuing a career in music.
Our post-diploma courses last as a rule one to two years. Besides direct tuition in the classroom, they also involve accompanied and unaccompanied self-study.
Certificate
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of the Lucerne School of Music which will bear the signatures of a representative of the University of Applied Sciences of Central Switzerland, the Rector of the Lucerne School of Music and the course supervisor.
Language of the course
Normally, a good command of German is a prerequisite for participation in courses. An exception is the course CAS Interpretation/Performance, in which the language to be used in the course can be arranged on an individual basis with the course supervisor.
Courses available 2007/08
Language of course individually agreed with supervisor:
CAS Interpretation/Performance
Musicians know: you can never stop learning on your instrument, continual application remains an invaluable asset. Having a qualification in your pocket is not an invitation to rest on your laurels for the rest of your professional career. That is why it is easy to understand the wish of many already qualified practising musicians to perfect their instrumental/vocal skills under the guidance of a particularly highly qualified teacher at a School of Music.
