General information
Application deadline
Application deadline for autumn and spring term is on March 15th. In order to announce results of election until beginning of June we need all applications on time.
Language
Students and teachers may mutually agree on the language they will use in one-to-one lessons.
The language of instruction in group courses is German in principle, but it is possible to receive advice and guidance in English. Also ERASMUS exchange students can easily join in band workshops and ensembles/orchestra.
For attending courses in music theory, music history or other courses where oral explanations are essential, good German knowledge is expected.
Academic Year
The academic year starts on September and ends in June. It is divided into two terms, autumn semester and spring semester. Compulsory events for incoming students as well as regular courses might start and end slightly before and after times of semesters.
For detailed information see www.hslu.ch/m-studienjahr (information in German).
