Course details
- Work-study programme: The Master of Science course awards students 90 ECTS credits, which equals a workload of approximately 2,700 hours distributed over 4 semesters. The work component should not exceed 30-50% of standard working hours; however, this is a non-binding requirement.
- Closing date: for study programmes starting in Autumn 2013: May 15, 2013.
- Information Sessions - Visit the Information Sessions in Lucerne and Zurich and get to know all the details of the study programmes.
- Academic title: Upon successful completion of the course students will be awarded the title “Master of Science in Business Administration”, “Master of Science in Banking and Finance”.or „Master of Science in International Financial Management“.
- Course Dates: The Master’s courses start each year in mid September and last two years. No classes are held during semester breaks. Class schedule: Classes are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays. Any make-up modules will be scheduled on other weekdays.
- Locations: Classes are held in the heart of the city of Lucerne. The campus in Lucerne has modern and well-equipped teaching facilities. Classes of the Master in Banking and Finance course are held primarily on the campus in the city of Zug, which can be reached from Lucerne or Zurich in 25 minutes.
- Course fees: Fees for the Master in Business Administration course are CHF 800 per semester. This does not include expenses for learning materials, study trips, etc. Fees for the Master in Banking and Finance course, including all exam and registration fees, amount to a total of CHF 4,400 for all four semesters. Students may apply to their cantonal offices for scholarships and loans. Please refer to www.sbf.admin.ch for more information.
- Notebooks: All new students are expected to have their own notebook computer. Students can purchase computers at a big discount from Studentenrabatt
- Catering: The university restaurant (Mensa) serves hot and cold meals, while the cafeteria offer a range of choices for in between.
- Campus Lucerne and university sport: All students and staff members of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts may sign up for the sports programme of Campus Lucerne free of charge. www.campusluzern.ch
- Career Service: Lucerne School of Business works closely with Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in providing career counselling services so that students are well prepared for life after graduation.
- Student housing: The student housing association www.stuwo-luzern.ch helps students find an affordable place to live. For additional information, students may also visit www.alleimmobilien.ch, www.immo.ch and www.students.ch/wohnen for further listings on housing.
- Visas and resident permits: Information on travel formalities, resident permits, etc. is available from the Federal Office for Migration. We will assist you in applying for the documents you need.
